We recently participated in the drilling of the Whiting #1-35 A HD1 well in Eaton County, Michigan. While the well encountered non-commercial quantities of Oil and Gas, it did discover a Niagaran reef with significant shows of hydrocarbons. A subsequent sidetrack of the original well is planned for the near future.

Herb started Stouffer Oil and Gas in 2020, recognizing opportunity in the "oil patch" with stabilizing and rising oil prices. He brings more than 40 years of experience in exploration and development, starting in the field in 1978 as a mudlogger and continuing as an exploration/ development geologist throughout his career. Herb gained his experience and knowledge as
a geologist working for Baker Hughs, Exxon (now Exxon Mobil), Mesa Petroleum (Boone Pickens), Hunt Oil Co., and Wagner Oil Co. Herb has extensive experience in the Gulf Coast onshore and offshore, and a great deal of exposure to most basins in North America. Herb is responsible for making all the geological and geophysical decisions for the company. Herb holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware.
Doug began his career in the energy industry at 17 years old in Archer County, Texas, where he was involved in a joint venture to drill ten stripper wells in that area. Since then, he has remained highly active in the oil and gas sphere while also taking part in a number of other business enterprises. During this time, Doug has accumulated vast amounts of management experience, holding CEO positions with a number of companies ranging from start-up efforts to mid-size corporations, and managing up to $1.4 billion in assets at times during his career. Doug holds a Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University.
